Our Vietnam team recently visited Vietnam FoodExpo, one of the most complete food and food technology tradeshows in the country, held in Ho Chi Minh City from November 13th to 16th.
This fair is a great example of how Vietnam has gained international attention in the past few years. The first edition, held in 2015, mostly showcased local and regional products, and since then, exporters from all over the world have become more interested, and this year the show hosts companies and pavilions from over 25 countries.
The guest of honour in this edition was the EU Pavilion, a large booth that highlighted the quality, safety, authenticity, and sustainability of European agri-food products from the 27 Member States. After the signature of the FTA, trade relationship between the EU and Vietnam has been growing and we expect to see even more growth in the coming years as tariffs keep lowering.
We took the opportunity to visit Trade with Estonia booth and meet with Naimi Saartson and some of the companies that came to Vietnam last year for a Trade Mission, it’s always great to catch up at these kinds of events and hear the exporters’ experiences on the ground.
