Highlights from Indo Livestock Expo & Forum 2024

That’s a wrap! After three intense days at Indo Livestock Expo & Forum 2024, we have completed the first activity for the “EU Dehydrated fodder from Spain and Italy” Campaign organised by AEFA Asociación Española de Fabricantes de Alfalfa Deshidratada – ALFALFA SPAIN and FILIERA, with aid from the EU.

Representatives from both associations met with key stakeholders within the Indonesian fodder and dairy markets, including Indonesian Ministries of Agriculture and Trade representatives, national animal feed and dairy associations, as well as key importers and dairy producers.

With over 12 scheduled meetings and many more pop-ins at the Indo Livestock Expo, we gathered relevant insights from the industry and confirmed the growing interest in high-quality feed in the market, needed to improve the productivity of the dairy industry.

In the coming months, Indonesia will launch a campaign to increase milk consumption among the country’s children, increasing dairy demand well above current supply levels, with the country aiming for a rise in milk production. The right feed for dairy cows is key to increase the yield per cow, and EU dehydrated fodder, with a high content in high-quality protein and fiber, is the right path for the Indonesian dairy industry.

We’re looking forward to seeing how the connections established within Indo Livestock Expo 2024 evolve and how the market develops in the coming months and years.
