EU products with Geographical Indications drew crowds at FHC, offering a taste of tradition, quality, and exclusivity that left a lasting impression.
Not 1, not 2, not 3, but 18 different recipes were the main attraction of the EU booth in the Geographical Indications Pavilion of the FHC trade fair, where more than 1000 people enjoyed the tastings and got to know at first hand the GI branded products from the European Union.
A key moment during these three days was the presentation of the Agricultural Commissioner of the Delegation of the European Union in China, Janusz Wojciechowski, who highlighted the great potential of Geographical Indications (GIs) to strengthen trade between the EU and China. In addition, he emphasised the growing interest of Chinese consumers in European products that offer tradition, origin and exclusivity, and, between you and me, you know we have a lot to offer!
Thanks to funding from the EU, we had the chance to take part in FCH 2024 where professionals from the sector and consumers had the opportunity to dive deeper into the value and origins of EU products with Geographical Indications.
