European Olives Pop-Up Brings Mediterranean Taste to Chinese Consumers

The European Olives Shopping Mall Experience, part of the campaign European Olives by Interaceituna, funded with aid from the EU, has taken over Beijing, bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to the capital.

This activity combines a pop-up store in Polpos Shopping Mall, with exclusive promotions at Jenny Wang Supermarket and two nearby restaurants, OrangeBurg and Meat Mate. This experience runs for two weeks and has been designed to introduce European olives into new palates.

The pop-up store serves as the first touchpoint, giving visitors a chance to learn about the versatility of European olives as both snacks and essential ingredients. Throughout the week, tastings let customers explore different olive varieties and flavours. On weekends, chef demonstrations take centre stage, with skilled chefs preparing olive-inspired dishes and sharing culinary tips.

If the tastings piqued their interest, shoppers could take it further with a visit to Jenny Wang Supermarket for exclusive event discounts on a wide range of olives, plus plenty of samples to try before buying. Or they could head to OrangeBurg and Meat Mate restaurants, where special olive-themed menus were created just for the campaign. These menus featured a variety of snacks, cold dishes, pizzas, main courses, and specialty drinks, all infused with the rich taste of European olives.

It was very exciting to welcome Amanda, the campaign’s ambassador. She shared her love about European olives with fans and visitors.

Great events, good food, and a relaxed vibe all round. Looking forward to the next one!
