EU-China Relations in Practice: A Celebration of Dialogue, Culture, and Taste

On May 6th, thousands of guests gathered at the Delegation of the European Union to China 欧盟驻华代表团 mark 75 years of Schuman Declaration and 50 years of EU-China relations, with a special focus on what that means in practice.

The EU-China Geographical Indications (GI) Agreement is a great example of bilateral collaboration. We organised the EU GI booth, which featured 69 GI products from 26 EU Member States, inviting people to stop, taste, and truly appreciate the diversity and quality of unique European products.

Ambassador Jorge Toledo kicked off the event alongside Vice Foreign Minister Hua Chunying. Both highlighted the importance of dialogue through culture and trade, which is now as important as ever.

A big thank you to our team behind the scenes who took care of this activity. It’s been fantastic to participate in such an important day.

Europe speaks in many tongues, but the language of taste? Universally understood.
