As part of Expo 2025 Osaka, Uruguay celebrated its Day with an event that captivated more than 100 attendees from 20 countries. The event was co-organized by Uruguay XXI, INAC Uruguay and Instituto Nacional de Vitivinicultura (I.NA.VI.), through their sector brands Uruguay Beef and Uruguay Wine. Minister Alfredo Fratti led this event, which highlighted the excellence of Uruguayan products, reinforcing the country’s image as a reliable supplier of premium, sustainably produced foods.
The vibrant rhythm of candombe was brought to life by acclaimed Grammy-winning musician Hugo Fattoruso and the legendary Cuareim 1080 troupe, creating an unforgettable cultural moment. Meanwhile, chefs Jean Carlos Oyano and Koichi Miyashita delighted guests with exquisite cuts of Uruguayan beef accompanied by a premium selection of Tannat wines.
This celebration not only strengthened trade ties between Uruguay and Japan but also demonstrated how gastronomy and culture become ambassadors of excellence on a global level.
Alba Andrés López and Daniel Pedraza from our team, along with Jon Ander M. and Masahiro Masuda, from La Manga Corporation, helped coordinating the event, ensuring that every detail was aligned with the values of quality and hospitality that Uruguay represents.
