At the end of October, the ‘European Pork. Pork in Style’ campaign, led by INAPORC and FILPORC and funded by the EU, concluded its first year of activities of this campaign with two fantastic events in Korea.
The first one was held on 30 October in Seoul. It gathered professionals from across the Korean agri-food industry for an exclusive tasting of premium European pork from France and Portugal. Participants explored the distinct flavours, textures and quality of European pork while discussing its potential in the Korean market. Food enthusiasts and industry experts expressed great enthusiasm for the products already available and curiosity about the ones yet to come, as charcuterie products have a great outlook in this market.
The following day, the focus moved to Busan’s scenic coastline, where an inspiring masterclass took place at Youngsan University. Michelin-starred Chef Jaehoon Kim from Palate Busan guided students through hands-on lessons, combining European finesse with Korean creativity. The session ended with participants practising cooking and sharing ideas, turning the classroom into a lively space of creativity and flavour.
We look forward to seeing more European products appearing in portfolios and on store shelves from Gangnam to Jeju as the campaign continues over the next two years.
A big thanks to everyone involved, especially our on-site team, Nadia Noskova, Alba Patiño Díaz and Victor Morales Mora, for making these events successful.
