We brought a little piece of the Mediterranean to Shanghai with the EU Olive Night: A Night in the Olive Grove, held at Sogo Shanghai (Shanghai Jiuguang Shopping Mall) as part of the European Olives Shopping Mall Experience from the EU Olives campaign by Interaceituna, funded by the European Union.
Guests enjoyed a Flamenco performance, tasted olive-inspired tapas and wines and explored the pop-up shop featuring European olives in every dish.
Our pop-up shop quickly became a favourite corner; some guests chatted with our chef, swapping cooking tips after tasting the dishes, while others headed straight to the supermarket to stock up on European olives.
We also had a workshop, led by our chef, where participants marinated their own olives with over twenty seasonings and prepared delicious tapas to take home.
The event closed with a prize-giving session where guests received tote bags and assorted olives as a final treat. European olives really know how to stand out!
