There’s nothing like watching your usually composed colleague turn into a cutthroat character while playing some escape room or witnessing an engineer’s existential crisis over a lump of pottery clay or marshmallow construction challenge.
This year’s team building proved we’re far more competitive and “artistically” questionable than anyone expected. A surprising number of people revealed hidden talents: jewellery-making, dramatic guessing, the ability to keep a straight face while miming and lunch time heated debates, because apparently, pineapple on pizza is still a hill some are willing to die on.
At some point between the creative workshops and the inevitable spaghetti bridge disasters, we accidentally remembered why this is fun. Bonding, just good natured chaos and the kind of teamwork that happens when you stop looking at excel sheets and start laughing.
