Spanish Dehydrated Alfalfa at China Dairy 2026

From 8 to 10 July, the Spanish Dehydrated Alfalfa Campaign, funded by ICEX and AEFA, joined the 17th China Dairy Conference and 2026 China Dairy Exhibition in Nanchang.

The campaign returned to one of China’s key dairy industry events with a booth, welcoming professionals from the dairy, feed and livestock sectors.

Throughout the three-day exhibition, visitors came with specific questions about Spanish production, dehydration technology, product quality and practical applications. Many conversations focused on how dehydrated alfalfa can support modern livestock production and respond to the needs of the Chinese market.

Two discussion sessions at the booth gave industry professionals a more informal setting to exchange views and ask questions about production methods, quality standards and the use of dehydrated alfalfa in animal nutrition.

Luis Machín Álvarez, Director of AEFA, joined the discussions and explained Spain’s dehydration process, its advantages compared with traditional sun-drying, and the current situation of Spanish production and exports.

Thanks to Lydia, Ana and Andrea Vilaplana Gómez, who made the booth in Nanchang a place where samples led to questions, and questions to useful conversations.
